Overview

Business Planning Analyst – Hybrid

Do you enjoy analyzing sales trends, pricing, and market data to uncover insights that shape strategy?
If you’re looking for a role where your work directly influences procurement planning, promotional effectiveness, and category performance, this Business Planning Analyst position could be a great fit.

 

This role will be reporting to the Supervisor, Business Planning and plays a key role in aligning sales forecasts with promotional strategies to support Canon Canada’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyzing and interpreting sales and market data, identifying trends and opportunities, and deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.
Preparing sales forecast, and price points with the internal sales tram to ensure that the company has sufficient inventory levels.
Maintaining, and analyzing the procurement plan (forecast, sales plan, safety stock) and provide recommendations to maximize sales and improve accuracy.
Generating reports for product categories for Canon Canada assigned product lines.
Conducting market research and analyzing competitor pricing and positioning to inform procurement and sales strategies.
Providing insights on customer behaviour, product performance, and market dynamics.
Providing support to develop and maintain budget plans during key financial periods.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations.
To Succeed, You Will Need:

Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Finance
Minimum of 3 years of work experience
Strong analytical skills to analyze forecasting, pricing, and competitive market data to offer solutions.
Advanced computer skills to use Vkookups, Pivot Tables, and If statements in Excel
Experience in SQL, Python, and Power BI
Effective time management and multitasking skills to meet deadlines and submit forecasts to Canon Japan.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across departments
A detailed oriented and assertive approach to accountability

We offer a Hybrid work schedule. You will be in the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, and can work from home for the remainder of the week (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance)

Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate’s skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
Compensation Range $71,700-78,000 annually.
